There seems to be a rise on hacking. To sum it up, it seems to be the new phase of technology. Cyber warfare and Cyber crime, You need to do your best to keep your computers safe and healthy from any kind of virus attacks. You never know what a virus might strike or a hacker might attack your system whether it be at work , school or your own home.

The U.S. is preparing for cyber war fare by protecting the computer systems.

This article states "every government conscious of strategic importance of cyber security and of the investments of other countries in cyber warfare capability is improving its effort. Last week I wrote about Russian government and the Putin’s request to reinforce the garrison of the fifth domain, the cyber space, through a series of investment to secure national critical infrastructures from cyber attacks, in the previous months we have spoken of Iran, China and North Korea, all those governments are moving the battlefield in the digital world."

Also they say "the US government has decided an increase of 4000 units for the Defense Department’s Cyber Command, considering that actually the Command is composed by 900 specialists it has been decided to quadruple the resources dedicated to the operations in the cyberspace"

Let's hope Microsoft keeps developing stronger anti virus protection. Even though your computer might be protected by your anti malware and anti virus programs , there are always risks to any computer. Now that we have finished the assessment part of the class. I'm more aware of how vulnerable my computer really is. This has been a fun assignment and I'll continue to monitor these viruses and see how they pan out. Just hope an attack on the power grid never happens that's my biggest fear. Not much we can do if it does.

Here's a unique twist on cyber warfare our government is declaring cyber war on hackers themselves. The government vowes to take out cyber hackers who attack against agency websites.

Hackers aimed to take out government agencies though they have certain defense systems in place. The government has been prepared for cyber attacks. They will develop a cyber warfare system adding to the cyber threats that are of concern.

The article states "Although attack intensity levels remain moderate, efforts will be made to solve the problem and bring the culprits to justice on a case-by-case basis", says Gp Capt Somsak.

The hacking group anonymous has claimed the attack on Nov 30 on Thailand's secure government computers. They stole passwords and important information about police officers and records.

They state that it is sad that police officers are using passwords like 12345, seems a bit easy for hackers to break into someone's account that way. Police websites are on the rise for attacks in the U.S. and the U.S. government vows to do something about it.

The hackers had left a note telling Thailand government how easy it was to hack into their system. That seems kind of scary in itself. It seems a lot of hacking groups are targeting big government buildings. With groups like ISIS on the rise it certainly is a scary though knowing our Police and Government buildings are future victims of cyber warfare.
