I've been reading more articles on computer viruses and they are very fascinating. Everything from Email hacking, phishing to malicious attacks using IP addresses. There seems to be no end in sight to this kind of computer hacking. As I posted in earlier blog that this is becoming of a huge concern. How do we stop this from happening. I'm not sure there is an answer for that.
A virus called Code Red was a Dos based virus attack. Very scary indeed. It's almost impossible to stop this kind of attacking.
The original Code Red worm initiated a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on the White House. That means all the computers infected with Code Red tried to contact the Web servers at the White House at the same time, overloading the machines.
This kind of attack seems common as well. Dos attacks that over load the system just like Email attacks that can break down your computer. Someday we may not be able to stop this from happening. Let's just hope the attacks don't trigger a world war or nuclear meltdown of some kind.
Microsoft creates patches but the patches don't always work.
