Recent Cyber Threats.

Here is an article about a cyber threat on a South Korea subway system.

The article explains North Korea has attempted to shut down the South Korea subway system through cyber attacks. That's pretty scary. North Korea has some pretty serious hackers.

I've also read about hackers wanting to shut down ISIS terrorist group. Hackers in Jordan and the Uk are the ones that are trying to hack ISIS. Once again the threat of international hacking is on the rise. Each day I hear more on the news about this. And it isn't going away anytime soon. How can we prevent this and what can be done? I'm not so sure at this point the only way to counter this is to let it happen and learn from the attacks. Hopefully the attacks aren't so serious. I still have major fears about a power grid attack that would set us back to the stone age or hacking into satellite systems.

I also just read about nuclear power sites being target as cyber threats. That's also very scary indeed.

The article states that the security systems of some of the nuclear power plants are faulty by design. Such attacks even though may not happen still need to be considered. Anything is possible in the world of cyber warfare. A nuclear meltdown because of a cyber attack is not something I want to witness.
