Talk Talk security breach.

Recently a British cell phone company TALK TALK has had a security breach. The company said 28,000 credit and debit card numbers, with some digits obscured, stolen by the hackers cannot be used for payment and customers cannot be identified from the data.

It seems this kind of thing isn't stopping that there really is nothing we can do about security breaches and this makes companies look vulnerable. And they are. Do you really want to invest in a company where your personal information will be stolen? But how do you know which company is safe and which is not. I guess it's a gamble that most of us have to take. It feels like every day there is some company that has a security breach or has been hacked into from the outside or even the inside.

There were apparently two teenage boys arrested in the cyber attack at TALK TALK. It seems these hackers are young and wanting to disrupt our every day life. I think they get some sort of adrenaline high from it. Can it be stopped? If companies don't invest the time into protecting their own assets then we will continue to see more hacking. The company has told people to check their emails and personal accounts, change passwords etc. But in reality there isn't much that can be done about this. Hopefully someone is working on ways to prevent these kind of attacks.
